Jose Luis Mendez

 In Loving Memory of  “Kawasaki Joe”

Jose Luis Mendez, 71, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on February 22, 1953 in Mexicali, Baja California to Joaquin, Mendez and Juana Burciaga. He grew up in Mexicali and Fresno Ca and graduated from Edison High School. He went on to become a very well rounded Professional Welder for over 50 years.

He was known for his excellent welding techniques and strong work ethic and all the things he fabricated himself by hand. He touched the lives of many with his wisdom, generosity, humor and knowledge he shared with others.

He is survived by his daughters Georgiana Mendez and Joy L. Mendez, his grandchildren, Inez Mendez, Anthony Utterback and countless friends.

A viewing will be held on May 24th, 2024 at Fresno Funeral Chapel and Buried at Fresno Memorial Garden Cemetery.

He is loved and will be deeply missed & remembered forever.
