Ricardo Salcedo-Ramirez

February 11, 1967 — March 22, 2024

Fresno

Ricardo Salcedo Ramirez of Fresno, California passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the age of 57.  Ricardo died peacefully with his family by his side.

Ricardo, Ruben and Rafael (The Triplets) were born in El Paso, Texas on February 11, 1967, to Narcizo  and Faustina Salcedo. Ricardo grew up in Three Rocks, California. He attended Cantua Elementary School from Head Start to the Eighth Grade and graduated in 1982.  Ricardo attended Tranquillity Union High School and graduated in 1986 and he attended Reedley College in 1987 and received an Automotive service certification.

At a very young age, his father showed him a strong work ethic and his mother taught him about caring for others; take pride in the work you do and respect your elders.  Ricardo would follow in their footsteps by doing the same work as his father (working as a farm worker in the cotton fields near Mendota). Ricardo always enjoyed showing his affection to his family.

Ricardo worked at various automotive shops as a mechanic in Fresno.  He transitioned into working on RVs as a Service Technician and then became a Show Thru Associate, at Camping World.

Ricardo was extremely happy when his children Marisa Adriana Salcedo-Alvarez and Estevan Ricardo Salcedo were born.  He supported them in everything they did and was super happy when they provided him with grandchildren.  He was known as grandpa, crazy grandpa, crazy papa, and uncle dad.  He was a true child at heart.

Ricardo would give 110% in every thing he did.  After his regular 9 to 5 job, he would often be seen working on cars and trucks late into the night, helping a friend in need.

In recent years he became a faithful member of The Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Fresno, California. He served as an usher and also supported various ministries. He was committed to the weekly fellowship at the Ignite Men’s Ministry group, often inviting others to join him. One of his joyful passions was working on the annual Operation Christmas Child project with Norma Andrade-Cantu. She later became his wife on November 26, 2022, in Pacific Grove, California. Together they enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, discovering favorite places to eat and working on their new home near Reedley Beach, California.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife Norma Andrade-Cantu, by his brothers and sisters: Leopoldo, Jose Antonio, Ruben, Rafael, Beatriz Chaidez, Felicia  Graham, and Christina Martinez, his children: Marisa Adriana Salcedo- Alvarez and Estevan Ricardo Salcedo and grandchildren: Eli Alvarez, Raul Juarez, Yuku Alvarez, Taji Alvarez, Santos Alvarez, Jonah Salcedo, Gianna Salcedo and Liliana Salcedo, Additional Children: Jose Andrade-Cantu, Vanessa Andrade-Cantu, Gabriel Andrade-Cantu, and Joshua Andrade-Cantu, and Additional Grandchildren: Atlas Wissner-Cantu, and Samson Cantu.

Ricardo creció en Three Rocks, California.
